Valley Ruach

Be A Leader!

Valley Ruach is almost entirely volunteer driven. We rely on the support of our community, not just financially, or in event attendance, but in creating and running programs! Without the community involvement, Valley Ruach simply wouldn't exist.

Plan an Event

Our policy is that we only plan the types of events we like to attend. The best way to make sure there's an event that you'll be truly excited about is for you to step in and help plan it!

Every January, we hold a programming meeting, at which time we schedule the events of the entire year. We highly encourage you to come share your ideas, and hopefully take ownership of an event or two at that time. You don't need to be a Valley Ruach annual member in order to attend this meeting or help plan events.

If you missed the meeting, that doesn't mean you can't help plan events! Email to find out what sorts of events are coming up in the future, or check the calendar on this website! We'd be happy to connect you with the people who are planning an event, and we're sure they'd greatly appreciate your help.

Join our Board

Board members, also known as Mensches, help steer Valley Ruach in the right direction. To be a board member, you simply need to be a Valley Ruach member in good standing, and be able to attend four meetings each year. Board members are also expected to be a regular presence at Valley Ruach events throughout the year, and help promote all things Valley Ruach.

Other Opportunities to Be a Leader

Throughout the year, we generally need help at our regularly scheduled events. On Shabbat, we would love to have you help greet, hand out prayer books, speak at services, or even bring your instrument and play! Torah on Tap is a great place for you to share your opinions and even lead a session from time to time when our usual leaders aren't available.

There are plenty more opportunities for you to be a leader! Email to share your ideas or ask questions!
